SAVE THE DATE - Surgery Webinar - September 18th 6pm Miami Time
We would like to invite everyone to participate in the follow-up surgery Webinar that will take place in about a month from now! The reason for this is because the surgery meeting this year took place during a chaotic weekend when the airlines/computer systems were down, and 3 speakers were not able to present. As one can get a positive thing from every negative, it was voted that we would open up for everyone to join us (not just the surgery meeting attendees) in this very exciting webinar. Not only that but Dr. Brooks' Keynote Lecture will be extended this way, so we will be able to learn even more.
Here is the tentative schedule thus far:
* 6-7:30pm - Dennis Brooks (Surgical Management of Catastrophic Ocular
Surface Disease in the Horse - Keynote Lecture)*
* 7:30-7:45pm (or 7:45-8pm) - Bill Miller (Lateral canthal
reconstruction for repair of eyelid anomalies associated with
macroblepharon)*
* 7:45-8pm (or 7:30-7:45pm) - Chuck Stuhr (My experience with
transcleral flanged fixation techniques)*
There may be more additions to this schedule perhaps. I may show some videos too.
We also voted that in order to join the webinar, *anyone* that was not previously registered to the surgery meeting will need to pay a symbolic registration fee of $50 USD which will be completely donated to VAF (minus 4% CC fees). Therefore if you were an attendee you don't need to worry about paying or doing anything, you will get the link which will be sent a few days prior to the event.
Whoever would like to join us is welcome, here is the link for registration/payment:

Here are some answers to questions I figured people may have:
This webinar will be done through ZOOM, it will be recorded and available for view for 2 months (this was voted as well).
I know everyone registered to the Sx meeting will get all the RACE credits, but Im awaiting to hear from RACE if I can provide 2hs of virtual CE as well with this webinar.
I think my subscription allows 300 people to join and just the surgery meeting had 210. Therefore if more than 90 people sign up please do that sooner rather than later so that I know that I have to upgrade my subscription further.
*So save the date! Wednesday Sept 18th 6pm MIAMI TIME. *
Any question, don't hesitate to ask.
Enry
(if you would like to be in the list for updates for the 2026 surgery meeting , just let me know)
