Internship Program in Ophthalmology – Kansas State University
Kansas State University Veterinary Health Center is accepting applications from qualified individuals for a one-year clinical ophthalmology internship. The objectives of the program are to provide advanced clinical training and experience in clinical ophthalmic research. The Ophthalmology Service is supported by two board certified ophthalmologists. The internship is further supported by board certified faculty in large animal medicine and surgery, anesthesiology, dermatology, zoological medicine, radiology and oncology. The VHC has an excellent case load and offers exposure to all domestic species as well as exotics.
Dates: July 7, 2025 – July 8, 2026
Deadline: Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
Salary: $43,547
Prerequisites: One-year rotating internship or equivalent experience.
Submission Requirements:
1. Curriculum Vitae (including class rank in veterinary school).
2. Official transcripts and grade point average from all post-secondary institutions (veterinary schools) attended.
3. Three Letters of Reference - Letters should be submitted electronically by the individuals writing the letters, not forwarded by the applicant.
4. Letter of Intent - A personal statement describing background, reasons for applying to the internship and career goals.
The successful applicant must apply for a Kansas Veterinary Institutional License. The VHC pays this cost and provides additional information.
