RESIDENCY/POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN COMPARATIVE OPHTHALMOLOGY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MADISON

The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine is accepting applications from qualified individuals for a four year clinical ABVO approved residency, with a Master’s as a possibility in the four-year program. This program will begin July 1, 2025 and has a primary objective of training the resident in comprehensive, evidence-based medical and surgical management of ophthalmology cases. A second objective is to expose the candidate to all aspects of academic veterinary medicine including teaching, research and service work. The resident will fulfill the residency requirements of the ABVO and the Department of Surgical Sciences of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, including research, public speaking and publication in peer reviewed journals. The goals are to develop critical scientific thinking, research methods, and a wide clinical knowledge base in successful residents, and to prepare residents for ABVO board certification. Individuals who do not have a permit to work in the United States, or who require an H1-B visa, will not be considered eligible for this residency. It is the responsibility of the applicant to determine if there are immigration, visa, or state licensing requirements that would preclude participation in a residency program at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.
