14th Biennial William Magrane Basic Science Course 2020 Update
Registration closes March 23, 2020!
After many years under the expert leadership of Dr. Mike Davidson, the 14th Biennial Basic Science Course will be held at the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine from June 22 through July 9, 2020.
The Basic Science course schedule and its faculty are now confirmed and are accessible via a dedicated website. You may register at the same website and will find preliminary details on housing (which will be made available through the UCD student housing center) and dining options. The application deadline is March 23, 2020.
The City of Davis, its surrounds, and the campus itself provide an ideal location for learning and relaxation and is a safe and interesting locale for domestic and international attendees at the course. The City of Davis is a quaint college town known for its world-class public research university, bike-friendly streets, Davis Farmers Market, and student-run Unitrans bus service, featuring London double-decker buses. We are located in the agriculturally rich Yolo County, just two hours from the gorgeous high-altitude Lake Tahoe and the vibrant multicultural city of San Francisco, about one hour from the world-renowned Napa and Sonoma wine-growing valleys, about four hours from the iconic Yosemite National Park, and just 20 minutes from the State Capital, Sacramento (to name just a few of the surrounding highlights).
Remember: If your resident is attending the 2020 BSC at UCD this year, make sure they know about the one-time benefit of submitting up to $500 related expenses to ACVO for reimbursement. This is a benefit ONLY to those residents whose main mentor is a member. More information.
